Tour Plan
Arrival and hotel check-in. Rest and allow your body to acclimatize to the altitude (3,500 m / 11,500 ft).
Acclimatization day in Leh. Visit monasteries like Shey Monastery, Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Monastery and the confluence at Sangam (Indus–Zanskar Confluence).
Drive 75 km to Skiu (3,400 m). Begin the trek and reach Sara Village (3,600 m).
Trek: 4–5 km | 2 hrs.
Trek through beautiful sections of the Markha Valley to reach Markha Village (3,700 m).
Trek: 10 km | 5–6 hrs.
Gradual ascent along the Markha River to Hankar Village (4,100 m).
Trek: 13 km | 7–8 hrs.
Trek to the vast alpine meadows of Nimaling (4,800 m) with views of Kang Yatse.
Trek: 12 km | 7–8 hrs.
Short but steep climb to Kang Yatse II Base Camp (5,100 m).
Trek: 3–4 km | 3–4 hrs.
